Print Preview (Map)

With this feature... Do this...
Print Click either of the following:
Print - and using the Print dialog box, select the desired printer and then click Preferences to set hardware print options.
Quick Print - send the document directly to the default printer.
Page Setup Click any of the following:
Margins - to select from four basic settings or to click Custom below the standard settings to display the Page Setup dialog box where you specify custom margins and paper sizes.
Orientation - to select either Portrait for vertical length or Layout for horizontal length.
Size - to select standard paper sizes. These same paper sizes are available from the Margins option above when you click Custom to display the Page Setup dialog box.
Zoom Change the zoom by a specific amount listed in the zoom drop-down list, or click either Zoom Out or Zoom In where each click halves or doubles your current map scale.
OR
Drag the slider in the bottom-right corner of the Print Preview dialog box.
Layout Click Default Layout and then either Default to include the map and legend on the same printed page, or click Map or Legend to print them on separate pages.
Click Edit Mode to drag or resize items in the Print Preview window.
Selected Component Click a component that appears in the preview pane and then click whether to copy it in raster () or vector () format.
Print Settings Select whether to save () the current configuration as a template that controls the presentation of printed maps, or to apply a template () that was previously saved to the current map.
Workflow Demos Select a video to view from the drop-down list.
Close Close the Print Preview dialog box.
Map Display Pane Drag a map element that appears in this pane to the desired location.
Print Setup Pane Click an object on the map or click the object's name in the Print Setup pane in order to display and change its properties in the pane that appears below the Print Setup pane.
Enable or clear the check box to the left of a map object to control whether that object appears on the map.
Map Select from the following:
Background - whether the map background color, set using the View > Background Color option in the map Ribbon, appears as an underlay beneath the map.
Show map border - whether a white border surrounds the map. This border can make it easier to read the coordinate information that appears along the horizontal and vertical edges inside the map.
Show coordinate information - whether the datum, projection, and other coordinate details appear below the map.
Keep grid labels horizontal - whether text along the vertical axis appears horizontally or vertically. This option is only available providing the Grid layer is enabled in the Layer Legend using the main Map window.
Use high resolution images - this option is available when the Air Photo layer is displayed on the map. If running Windows XP, review Troubleshooting High Resolution Imagery Printing to avoid or resolve issues.
North Sign Select whether the North Sign is surrounded by a blue ring.
Scale Bar Select whether to display a transparent or opaque background for the scale bar printed with the map.
Title Box Type text and select presentation details for the map title, author, map description, and source. For Title and Description, using the Splitter % option, adjust the height of the panes by selecting the overall percentage of the title box that they occupy. For example, if you select 10% for the title and 50% for the description, the combined fields occupy 60% of the overall title box above the Author and Date field and the Source field.
To omit map details from the printed map, simply clear the check box to the left of the Title Box label in the Components pane instead of deleting the information that may be needed in the future.
Company Information Type text and select presentation details for the company information. To omit company details from the printed map, simply clear the check box to the left of the Company Information label in the Components pane instead of deleting the information that may be needed in the future.
Product Information Select whether to display the S&P Global Inc. logo. The copyright information cannot be disabled.
